ACCESSIBILITY POLICY

At Phoenix Events (East) Ltd, we strive to produce an inclusive website that can be used by everybody – regardless of sensory disabilities, neurodiversity and/or motor impairment. As a company, we work closely with the Sunflower Lanyard Scheme, to ensure that we can provide support for everybody, irrespective of hidden or visible disabilities.

Browser Support

Therefore, we have worked hard to create a website that is accessible for a broad audience, to allow easy comprehensibility on a variety of devices and browsers, which can be used and adjusted to support your preference. We recognise that browsers are continuously growing and updating, so we have ensured that our website can be used and displayed across all browsers – even those which are older. It is important to us that we work together to create a wide-encompassing community, particularly through the use of social media, which acts as a first port-of-call for many of our clients, staff and the general public.

Users still using older browsers versions will find that they can resize the text only using the same key combinations.

Scale/zoom options can also be accessed via each browser’s context menu.

Users browsing on mobile and tablet devices can scale and zoom the content using opposed digits dragged across the screen in the conventional manner.

Structure

To keep things simple, we have designed a straightforward website, providing you with key information and our core values, as well as celebrating both our clients and the events we have supported. Thus, our site commits to a standard layout, with basic headings, lists and paragraphs, enabling us to structure our pledges, guarantees and services in the easiest (and most accessible) way possible.

As we continually search for improvements across our website, our wonderful web designer is working hard to make our site as accessible as possible. However, human error may occur, so in the case of any mistakes, faulty links, or just general feedback on how we can advance our company even further, feel free to contact us through: admin@phoenixeventseastltd.co.uk and one of our team will respond right away!

Our Accessibility Button

By using the accessibility button in the top left-hand corner, this will provide our website users with a range of options, to allow our website to be explored by a broader range of people. Our font resize section, is designed to adapt our website text to suit the needs for everybody using it, and the zoom in/out function can also be accessed by sliding your mousepad in and out across each website page.

To help our customers focus on the key information on our website, we have introduced buttons to underline key links, remove cookies, remove any decorative website ‘styles’ and allow you to choose the site colour. Furthermore, we have added simple titles to every site image/map wherever necessary and have aimed to avoid short-hand language wherever possible.

We aim to keep our website as accessible as possible, hence why we have provided links back to the home page across every webpage, to keep things simple, for you. In the bottom right-hand footer of every page, you will also find available buttons to bring you straight to the top of each page – to enable you to explore our website easily and efficiently.

Site Map

Our site map is designed to assist you with navigating our website and can be accessed through the bottom right-hand footer on every page.

Who We Work With

As a company, we pride ourselves in being a Level 1 Disability Confident Employer, and seek to maintain our inclusive values, to appreciate every single client, staff member and customer, regardless of disability. We guarantee to provide relevant support for everybody, to ensure that everybody has the opportunity to thrive within the workplace, and never feel restricted.

At the top of each webpage, our pledge with the Sunflower Scheme and the Please Give Me Space Initiative is clearly shown. As globally recognised organisations, we are proud to promote their statement on supporting those with ‘invisible’ disabilities, especially as they complement our work during events, as our staff become more approachable and welcoming to all members of the public.
